And, since your logo is included on the clothes, it’s important that your brand is reflected in the style of the clothing you choose. Today on our blog, we have an expert in corporate apparel to tell us what’s in style this season.
Our friends over at City Sporting Goods know all of the latest trends and hottest items in corporate apparel and General Manager, Matthew Foley has offered up some of his top picks:
Soft Shell Jackets
Fall, autumn…it is a beautiful time of year in New England and one of the busiest seasons in the promotional products industry. One of the most popular trending fabrics for wearables right now is Soft Shell. The three-layered material has a soft inner face, bonded mid-layer for protection and a smooth stretch woven fabric on the outside. Because of the stretch woven fabric, this can be used to make technical outerwear allowing freedom of movement. Soft Shell jackets are breathable, wind and water resistant. This fabric became popular in the mid-2000’s because of its versatility.
This fashion forward garment can be worn to the corporate office or for a night out on the town at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. The Soft Shell jacket can be applied to several markets including financial, healthcare and insurance companies because of the crisp upscale look. However, this corporate garment is also used to in the active wear segment to keep the body warm while running and exercising during outdoor activities. Soft Shell is great to add to a corporate uniform program.
A key to adding a jacket is the style having a women’s companion. 46.9% of the United States American workforce is female, making Ladies’ style shirts increasingly popular for all types of corporate casual decision makers. But women also comprised 51.5% of management, professional and related positions. Unisex styles are very popular in the industry, but women preferred a tailored silhouette for comfort and style.
My product spotlight choices for the Fall are two Soft Shell jackets from the Charles River Apparel outerwear line. Charles River Apparel delivers a product that is extremely high quality. They’re also a family owned and operated business located right here in Massachusetts.
1.) Ultima Soft Shell Jacket (featured right) is bonded to a tricot material, creating a durable but soft lining. The Ultima wind flap and stand up collar create a chin guard. This is a perfect zipper garage to protect your neck against the cold metal touching your skin.
2.) Soft Shell Jacket (featured left) bonded to microfleece making is this an ideal choice for high heart rate activities such as cycling and hiking in windy or damp weather. Microfleece provides warmth without the weight.
The recommended decoration application is embroidery on Soft Shell material. The smooth stretchy face of the fabric makes embroidery a standout option. Even embellished fonts of a small font can be clean and legible. Left front chest is the preferred location of embellishment on a Soft Shell.
